RC.3007-24: Valery Kavaugye (foreground), a Yupik hunter from Sireniki, sewing a bag from fresh walrus skin (Tuktyk). He will fill it with fresh walrus meat & bury it under stones & leave it to ferment for several months. This fermented walrus meat is a local Yupik Eskimo delicacy known as 'Iqway'. Sireniki, Providensky Region, Chukotka, Russian Far East.
